Application change: Additional question for Medicaid Unwinding

The additional coverage question "Did any of these people have Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage that will end soon or that recently ended because of a change in eligibility?” has been reworded to include Medicaid Unwinding SEP date ranges.

This change is a result of the Medicaid Unwinding SEP that launched March 31, 2023. An example screenshot is below.

Updated direct-to-consumer privacy statement

As a response to the PY2024 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters, or NBPP, from CMS, we've updated our direct-to-consumer (D2C) privacy statement.

This update will show on agent’s marketing links when their clients auto-enroll. The consent language uses the agent's name found in their settings page.

Dental policies and submission type added to enrollments export

We've added new fields to the enrollments export to help our agents.

  1. Dental policy information - plan name, HIOS ID, and policy status - will keep agents aware of their client's dental policy status.

  2. Submission type will notify agents if an enrollment was performed via their direct-to-consumer marketing link.

These fields are available on the agent and agency version of this export.

Updated: Banner added to HealthSherpa generated emails

A banner has been added to emails that agents can send to their clients using the HealthSherpa platform. These include:

  • Bulk Renewal Emails

  • Quote Sharing Emails

  • Agency Join Invitation Emails

By notifying consumers who and where the email came from, your clients can ensure their agent's emails are coming from a trusted source.

Below is an example renewal email reminder that contains this new banner.

Improved: Agency downline agent export now includes agent FFM Integration status

To help agencies keep their agents FFM integrated, we've updated our agency downline agent export to include FFM integration status.

Two new columns will appear on this export:

  • FFM Integration Status

  • FFM Integration Expiration Date

Agencies can use these columns to identify agents that need to link their accounts or might lose their integration status in the coming days.

Application update: Social Security Number reminder

We've added a Social Security Number (SSN) reminder to the application. This will help reduce Data Matching Issues (DMIs) and the risk of clients losing their coverage or financial assistance.

Agents can see this change when the checkbox is clicked for clients who do not have a SSN.

As a reminder, CMS requires a SSN on the application for the primary applicant, anyone applying for coverage, and any other income recipients. The only time this is not required is when someone does not have a SSN (e.g., an immigrant or newborn baby). However, alternative documentation will need to be provided.
