FFM reintegration now required after 30 minutes of no Marketplace activity

After 30 minutes without Marketplace activity, your connection will expire and you’ll need to reintegrate.

We want to make you aware of a CMS-mandated change that may affect your workflow. Starting Friday, 8/29, CMS will enforce a new 30-minute inactivity timer on your FFM integration.

What’s changing

Previously, FFM integration is active for 12 hours at a time. After the new CMS change, your FFM integration will expire after 30 minutes without doing actions that require integration with the Marketplace.

If you are actively logged into HealthSherpa when your FFM integration expires, you’ll stay logged in, but will need to reintegrate your FFM account before continuing work that requires Marketplace integration.

Examples of actions that require Marketplace integration:

  • Opening client details

  • Filling out a Marketplace application

  • Anywhere in HealthSherpa where it says “syncing with Marketplace”

  • Uploading documents to the Marketplace

  • Re-syncing applications

Examples of actions that do NOT require Marketplace integration:

  • Work on Georgia applications (servicing Georgia does not require Marketplace integration)

  • Checking bonuses

  • General agency administration

  • Quoting and plan shopping

If you spend more than 30 minutes in HealthSherpa where you aren’t working in areas that require Marketplace integration, you may find that your FFM integration has expired and you will be prompted to reintegrate your FFM account.

Why this is happening

This change is being made by CMS and is required for all EDE partners. We know this is disruptive, and we’re doing everything we can to minimize the impact.
