There are several reasons an application does not immediately come up when searched for on HealthCare.gov. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
- If you have tried searching several times with no luck, completely log out of the page, and start over by clicking the ‘Access Marketplace’ button on your dashboard.
- Search using the minimum amount of information required - primary applicant’s name, date of birth, state, and plan year. If you are unsure who the primary applicant is, try using the name of the oldest applicant.
- Double-check the birthdate and the name - incorrect birthdates or names are the most common reason an application cannot be found. Make sure there are no spaces before or after the name.
- If that still does not work, add the application ID number into the search as well. You can also try both the current, and the previous plan year.
