Each HealthSherpa for Agents account includes a free, customizable direct marketing link. When selected, your unique marketing link leads consumers to an enrollment website where consumers may quote to see available plans and even enroll!

When clients enroll through your unique direct marketing link, they are associated with your account and will have your NPN automatically applied to any application submitted. Note: If you are participating in the Enrollee Assistance Program (EAP), the NPN applied will depend on your specific EAP and any alternative Carrier Settings you have in place for respective carriers.

You can use your marketing link within your email signature, social media accounts, even within your business website - it’s up to you!

This article will cover the following:

Where to find your marketing link:

Log in to your HealthSherpa for Agents account, then select the ‘Marketing’ page on the left-hand side of your dashboard. You will land on the ‘Analytics tools’ tab.

From the ‘Your direct link’ section, you may customize your unique URL should you wish to make any initial changes to the way your URL will be displayed. You may copy and paste this URL to use your marketing link wherever you would like.

You may also utilize the free UTM tag generator to create custom marketing campaigns. Learn more here.

How your direct link works:

When consumers click on your direct marketing link, they will land on your customized enrollment website where they can shop and enroll in plans on their own. Learn more about what your clients sees when using your marketing link here.

Consent capture and consumer identity verification are built into the consumer driven enrollment experience.

Any time a client saves their progress while quoting or applying, a Lead record will be created in your 'Leads' tab. You can view consumers who have saved their progress, as well as sort by status to follow up accordingly. There are several statuses you might see for a Lead:

  • Applying: The lead is working on their subsidy application to determine their final subsidy eligibility

  • Shopping: The lead is reviewing available plans

  • Confirming: The lead is on the plan confirmation page

You can select any lead record to view more information. From the Lead’s details page within the lead record you can view any information provided so far in the quoting process and add any necessary notes.

Selecting the ‘Resume’ button from your Leads dashboard or from a Lead’s details page will allow you to assist the Lead directly, picking up where the Lead last left off. Note: If the consumer attempts to submit updates to their active enrollment, they will be permitted to do so when applicable. If you attempt to submit updates for a Lead with an active enrollment for which your NPN is not already associated, you will see an "InvalidAction" error from CMS. Learn more about submitting policy changes when encountering this error here.

Customers who have successfully applied for plans will move from the ‘Leads’ page within your dashboard to the 'Clients' page within your dashboard.

How to customize your enrollment website

Within the ‘Marketing’ page of your dashboard, you will find another tab entitled ‘Branding.’

From the ‘Branding’ tab, you are able to customize the following aspects of your enrollment website:

  • Company Name

  • Company Phone

  • Lifestyle photo

  • Logo

  • Color palette

By default, your enrollment website will display the phone number included on your ‘Marketing’ page.

You can customize the phone number that displays on your enrollment website by adding it to your direct link. This can be helpful if you have different phone numbers for call centers.

As an example, if your direct link was the following URL:

You can add a specific phone number to the end of the URL by using '&call=' then adding the desired phone number (e.g. '&call=1234567890').

When clients click into this URL, the phone number you specified will replace the default as shown in the following image.

Note: the image above is an example URL and will not lead anywhere if you try to type it into your browser.
