A copay is a set amount that you pay for a specific service. For example, if your doctor visit says $25 copay, then when you go to the doctor you will pay $25 at the time of service. If it says $25 copay after deductible, that means you will pay full price for that visit until your deductible has been met. Once your deductible has been met, you will only be responsible for the $25 copay.
