Earn bonuses from select carriers when you submit enrollments through HealthSherpa.

HealthSherpa is collaborating with carriers to deliver bonus payments for enrollments completed on HealthSherpa during Open Enrollment 2025. These bonuses are a direct investment in your success, ensuring that you’re rewarded for the critical role you play in the growth of the ACA Marketplace.

What bonuses are available?

To view available bonuses, log in to your HealthSherpa account, visit the Bonuses page, and navigate to the Broker Bonuses tab. Eligible agents will also receive email updates with details when new bonuses are available.

What are the requirements for getting paid?

Broker Bonuses are paid based on carrier terms and will vary by campaign. You can find more information by visiting the Broker Bonuses tab in your account.

Payment timeline

Bonus payment verification and reconciliation will start after Open Enrollment ends. Refer to your Broker Bonus page for details about the specific payment timeline for each bonus. The Your earned bonuses table will not show your bonuses until after verification and reconciliation is complete.

Steps to receive your bonus

In order to be paid for eligible bonuses, please complete the following steps:

  1. Complete a W-9 form
    Upon submitting your first bonus-eligible enrollment, you’ll receive an email from HealthSherpa with a W-9 form to complete. Enter your SSN or EIN and submit the form.

    If bonuses should go to your agency, enter the agency's information on the W-9.

  2. Set up a Bill.com ePayments account
    After submitting your W-9, HealthSherpa will email an invitation to set up your Bill.com account for direct deposits.

    When setting up Bill.com, select:
    "I’d like to send invoices and get paid" (not "pay bills")
    "I’m a business" or "I’m an independent contractor" (not "employee")

    Once you reach the Bill.com dashboard, you’re all set to receive bonus payments directly into your bank account.

    What if I don't want ePayments?
    If you don’t opt into Bill.com, we’ll send paper checks to the address entered on your W-9. We don't recommend this option because checks will arrive more slowly, our check service does not offer tracking, and if checks are lost, there’s a fee to reissue them.
