Do you offer standalone dental plans?

Find out when you can buy a Marketplace dental plan, what’s included, and how standalone dental coverage works.

Yes, but only when purchased at the same time as a Marketplace health plan.

When you shop for coverage through the Marketplace, you can choose from two types of dental coverage options:

  1. Health plans with dental included
Some Marketplace health plans already include dental benefits. You’ll see these listed as “Health + Dental” or similar when comparing plans. If you enroll in one, your single monthly premium covers both health and dental services.

  2. Standalone dental plans
The Marketplace also offers separate dental plans that you can add to your cart while enrolling in a medical plan. These standalone dental plans are billed separately and provide coverage for routine cleanings and basic dental care.

However, they must be purchased at the same time as your Marketplace medical plan, and the coverage ends when your medical plan ends (or at the end of the calendar year, whichever comes first).

For major dental coverage, such as crowns or dentures, you’ll need to purchase a private dental plan outside of the Marketplace.
